Locating RSS Feeds in Web pages

RSS and podcast feeds come in lots of formats, and ways you find them on web sites. It starts out confusing because they are typically direct links to strangely formatted web pages that are intended to be read by RSS/podcast readers. (Podcasts are distributed as "attachments" to RSS/Atom feeds). The key for finding the correct address for an RSS feed is to look for the icons that identify the RSS feeds, and rather than following the link, right mouse click (Windows users) or control-click (Mac users) to access the menu that allows you to Copy the URL for the RSS feed. Sometimes they will be listed in an area called "Subscribe", "RSS" or "Syndication". Here are some examples of icons that identify RSS feeds.

Usually links to RSS feeds will look like any other web address, except the last part may end in ".xml", ".rss", ".rdf", ".atom", or even other strange names. Once you have the feed URL, open a new browser window and enter/paste the URL in the browser's Address Bar to see the RSS feed.

On your device, open BeyondPod and tap on "Add Feed" in the bottom right of the Feeds Screen. Enter the address from browser's Address Bar in the BeyondPod Search field and tap Go. BeyondPod will open its 'Add Feed' dialog where the correct Feed URL will be already set. Tap on 'Save' button at the bottom to add the feed.
